My first video game ever and honestly the reason why I ever started to explore the narrative and artistic potential of games. It was done in a as final project of a course by Max Fiedler and in retrospective is completely over-scoped.
Also: There is a reason why most stylized characters are small, bulky and have short legs and big heads. The long legs of my main character for example simply do not work in 30 fps. (The frame-rate dictated by the engine, an Adobe Flash template done by Michael Kunze)
But I am still quite proud to have finished three more or less small levels, because just the character animations are 259 hand-drawn and hand-animated frames. You, dear reader, may ask, why? Why not use tweens?
And there is no logical explanation, I just felt like it.
Today I would do nearly everything different (not that I did not iterate while doing it. I wanted to make a really good character, so I redid the walk-cycle for example no less than three times)
